Shut the Door. Open Your Heart.

Jesus gave a simple but powerful instruction:

“When you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is unseen.”  Matthew 6:6

This wasn’t just about a physical room.
It was about intention.

To shut the door is to choose focus.
It’s a decision to step away from noise, distractions, and demands — and give God our full attention.

In a world that constantly pulls us in every direction, closing the door becomes an act of faith.

It means silencing what competes for our attention.
It means slowing down.
It means creating space for God to speak.

Prayer doesn’t require perfect words.
It requires an open heart.

Behind closed doors, we don’t perform.
We don’t pretend.
We simply come as we are.

And it’s in that quiet place that God shapes us, aligns us, and renews us.

When we shut the door to distractions, we open our hearts to transformation.

Because what happens in secret
always shapes what happens in public.
