Not If — But When

Fasting Is for Today — Not Just for the Past

Some people think fasting belongs to another time.
Something for biblical days, prophets, or very spiritual people.

But Jesus made it clear:
“When the bridegroom is taken away, then they will fast.” Luke 5:35

He didn’t say if they fast.
He said
when.

Fasting was never meant to disappear.
It was meant to be part of the life of every believer during this season — the time between Jesus’ ascension and His return

Fasting is not about religious obligation.
It’s about spiritual alignment.

It helps us slow down, listen more carefully, and realign our hearts with God’s will.
It reminds us that our strength does not come from what we consume, but from who we depend on.

Fasting doesn’t make us more spiritual — it simply helps us live more aware of the Spirit.

And when we choose to fast, we are saying:

“God, I want to live alert, surrendered, and sensitive to You.”
